Mr. Keith Antonio Wicks

July 20, 1988 - November 22, 2021

Keith Antonio Wicks gained his heavenly wings on November 22, 2021 at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. He was 33 years of age at the time of his passing, where he was surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Keith was born on July 20, 1988 to Angela Cherry (Elder Reginald Cherry) and the late Ronald Keith Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather Michael Cox. Keith leaves behind three grandmothers, Clara Shaw, Viola Bradford and Mattie Gay, grandfather Jessie Harris; siblings Shinese Cox, Reginald Cherry Jr, Julian Cherry, Monique, Ahmed and Michael Ham, nieces Laila McKesson and Maddison Cherry, nephew Colby Cherry. Additionally, he leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Keith shared a very special bond with his cousin Dawanda Lucas and his godmothers Crystal Mitchell and Sylvia Claridy. Keith was introduced to Jesus Christ at an early age. He attended McKendree Simms Brooklyn UMC in Washington, DC with his beloved great grandmother Eloise Wicks then joined Community Christian Church in Greenville, NC in his youth years. In April 2020 he joined Greater City of Truth in Clinton, MD where Bishop Kenneth D. Haggler Sr is the pastor. He attended Pitt Community College, Pitt County Schools, Community Christian Academy (Greenville, NC) and LaSalle Elementary (Washington, DC) Even though his perspective on life may have been different from most, you could not help but love his witty humor, his intellect and love of life. Keith had many hard knocks in life, but he always got up and tried again. We all know about his entrepreneurial spirit. Keith could sell anything! He unapologetically lived life on his own terms. His love for DC and the Washington Football Team ( Redskins) was well known. May we remember Keith with the love of Christ.
